CORING / AERATING
If your lawn is struggling with a repellence issue, coring could be the solution.
Coring is the process of punching small holes in your lawn removing plugs of soil to promote increased water penetration and oxygenation into the root zone. The coring tyne punches a hole 70-100 mm deep into the turf subsoil and through the organic and thatch layers, resulting in instant water penetration, deeper distribution and more effective absorption of wetting agents and nutrition.
Coring will also provide relief from traffic compaction (kids play, swing sets, trampolines, cricket pitches, pet tracking) on all soil types.
Perth’s hot Summers and extended watering seasons present a real soil and turf hydration challenge. Our predominantly sandy profiles are naturally repellent in nature. Wetting agents are vital in this quest to keep ahead of the game, water penetration wise. The Lawncare Man includes a wetting agent application with every coring service.
Coring at the beginning of the watering season is a great strategy to get off to a good start and maintain the Winter soil moisture throughout the Spring and Summer. It is also an excellent repellence problem solver through any part of the watering season.
